Macassar ebony and sinker redwood together are both visually and tonally special. Add the stunning aesthetic details of Taylor’s Presentation Series and the guitar becomes a playable piece of art. Tonally, sinker has a level of warmth and brilliance that has spawned the characterization “cedar on steroids,” and Macassar’s slightly darker tone is a great match. Together the warmth and complexity yield a more mature sound, the opposite of bright and punchy. If you play a variety of styles and have a light to medium touch, the Grand Auditorium version is a great choice. If you crave a bigger, bolder sound, the Grand Symphony is a good fit.

Taylor Grand Auditorium (GA)

Taylor’s signature shape embodies the ultimate all-purpose acoustic.

Taylor most popular and versatile body shape, the mid-size Grand Auditorium arrived in 1994 bearing refined proportions that fell between a Dreadnought and Grand Concert. While the bigger Dreadnought was traditionally considered a flatpicker’s guitar and the smaller Grand Concert catered to fingerstylists, the GA was designed to deliver on both fronts. The shape produced an original acoustic voice that was big enough to handle medium-strength picking and strumming, yet with impressive balance across the tonal spectrum, especially in the midrange, producing clear, well-defined notes that suited both strumming and fingerstyle playing. The GA’s overall presence tracks well with other instruments both in a studio mix and on stage, and singer-songwriters have embraced its utility both for composing and traveling with one guitar. Many people want a single guitar that can cover a variety of styles, which is why the GA continues to be Taylor bestselling shape. If you want a great all-purpose guitar, the multi-dimensional GA won’t let you down.

Fender Percision Bass
Classic Body Style
Balanced and comfortably contoured, the Precision Bass was Fender's first two-horned instrument. Its familiar form has remained largely unchanged for more than half a century.
Neck and Fingerboard
There's nothing like the big, sturdy neck of a Precision Bass and its smoothly playable fingerboard, in maple or rosewood.
Split Single-Coil Pickup
One split-single-coil pickup placed in just the right spot is the heart of the formidable Precision Bass tone. Other pickup types and configurations impart even more tonal power and character.
Fender Jazzmaster

Offset Waist
Distinctive offset-waist body shape isn't just curvaceously cool looking - it's also remarkably balanced and naturally comfortable.
Dual Tone Circuits
The Jazzmaster was also Fender's first instrument to feature dual tone circuits. Separate "lead" and "rhythm" circuits, each with their own controls, allow remarkable tonal versatility.
Distinctive Pickups
Traditional wide, flat Jazzmaster pickups produce broad tone, less bite and more subtle attack than most single-coil pickups. Other pickups choices offer even greater tonal character.
"Floating" Tremolo Bridge
Fender's own distinctive "floating" tremolo bridge/tailpiece design first appeared on the Jazzmaster. Modern bridge options on some models allow even further tonal and performance distinction.

Fender Jaguar
Offset Waist
The Jaguar features a sleek and comfortable offset-waist body.
Dual Tone Circuits
Like the Jazzmaster, the Jaguar features separate "lead" and "rhythm" tone circuits, but with even more controls for even more tonal versatility.
Short Scale, More Frets
Shorter scale length (24") is great for smaller players and more diminutive hands, with an extra (22nd) fret, too.
"Floating" Tremolo Bridge
Most Jaguar models feature Fender's distinctive "floating" tremolo bridge/tailpiece design; other models have modern bridge options offering further tonal and performance distinction

Fender Telecaster

Fender Telecaster
Single-Cutaway Body
The Telecaster's distinctive single-cutaway body has been an unchanging hallmark of its design ever since it was introduced in 1951.
Pickups
Classic Telecaster tone is a long-revered product of its dual single-coil pickups—especially the bright, snappy tone of the bridge pickup. Other pickup options lend even more versatility.
Neck and Fingerboard
Telecaster guitars are known for comfortable and easily adjusted necks with a variety of profiles, eminently playable fingerboards and an unmistakable headstock.

Fender stratocaster

Fender Stratocaster
Sleek Body Shape and Contours
Stratocaster guitars have a sleek and balanced two-horn design, with well-placed forearm and body contours that make for a comfortable playing experience.
Pickups
Three expressive single-coil pickups; often modified with various combinations of humbucking pickups and switching configurations. From sparkling to soaring to screaming and beyond, the versatile voice of the Stratocaster remains unequaled.
Tremolo Bridge
Now as always, Stratocaster guitars are revered for the innovative design, tonal stability and solid reliability of their tremolo bridges.
Neck and Fingerboard
Stratocaster guitars are known for comfortable and easily adjusted necks with a variety of profiles, eminently playable fingerboards and an unmistakable headstock.
